Meet Rex Summerfield
As the owner of Shiloh Outdoor Productions, Rex Summerfield travels extensively each year hunting and videoing exciting adventures from around the world. He is a respected hunter, writer, seminar speaker, television host, videographer and award winning editor. His expertise is the field is highly sought after and he is a pro staff member for a variety of companies. He has several production credits to his name including The Explorer’s Big Game Journal, Knight Rifles “Born to Hunt”, The High Road with Keith Warren, Hunter Specialties television series and recently his new show entitled “The Radical Hunter”.
He has authored articles for national hunting publications and conducts seminars on several topics including Elk hunting and Goat Packing. Recently he developed a highly visual presentation on “How to video your own hunt using tips and techniques from the pros”. With many more hunters taking to the field each year with video cameras in hand it is sure to be a popular seminar.
As an avid hunter his resume contains a multitude of species from around the world with both archery and rifle. He is a noted Elk hunter with a success rate of nearly 90% on public land bulls. Late season finds him in pursuit of dark timber Whitetails near him home in Idaho where he has refined specialized tactics for these secretive animals.
Rex and his wife also own Northwest Packgoats. A business supplying pack gear for goats around the world through their web site www.northwestpackgoats.com. Rex is considered one of the worlds leading experts on goat packing and writes a regular column in the magazine “Goat Tracks” as well as various club functions and internet forums.

Dick had just about enough time to unpack and repack his gear and he is off again tomorrow morning to Northern Saskatchewan for another spring bear hunt. This time with Dale Muhr owner of Bear Country Outfitters out of Hudson Bay. Check them out at www.bearcountryoutfitters.ca. Dick had a fantastic hunt with Okeechobee Outfitters in Florida. He shot this 9 foot plus Alligator and 2 nice hogs with his Excalibur Crossbow. The Alligator hunt was a really radical stalk in high grass to within 5 feet to get the perfect shot with the Excalibur Crossbow. That is what you call up close and personal.
